Come and walk
the trails of Huntsville State Park around Lake Raven. The park is a
2083 acre recreational area in Walker County, opened in 1938. The
Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) Co. 1823 (CN) constructed the dam and
the group recreation hall. The park offers camping, hiking, biking,
boating, horseback riding, swimming, fishing and nature study.

| TRAIL DESCRIPTION |
Trail is rated
1+.
Trail may have loose rocks, large tree roots and thorny plants. It is not
suitable for wheelchairs or strollers due to natural conditions of trail. |
| REFRESHMENTS |
Water will be
available at the Start/Finish and at the checkpoints. |
| REGISTRATION/FEES |
No
pre-registration. B award and IVV credit is $4.00.
IVV credit only is $3.00. IVV
record books will be available for $5.00. Everyone is welcome.
Family participation is encouraged, but children under 12 must be accompanied by
an adult. You may walk for free; however, donations are appreciated, to help defray the
cost of hosting the event. Event takes place rain or shine. No
refunds for
failure to participate.
Everyone
participating MUST register and carry a Start Card and turn it in at the FINISH. |

NOTE: There is a Park entry fee.
$4.00 per person for 13 years and
older. Blue Bonnet Pass and Texas State Park Pass acceptable. |
